Looking for:
– fast pace (can go outside the genres in the title as long as it’s gripping)
– a bit of humor is welcome but not required (for example, I love the Thursday Murder Club)
– if police-centric, has a critical lens – not copaganda
– contemporary (I like characters like Sherlock Holmes but prefer contemporary language)
