I haven't been able to stop thinking about Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield since I read it (and I am getting Salt Slow for christmas)! That being said, I am obsessed with the Coastal Gothic recently and aren't really sure of some books that fit. I am a huge gothic reader (Shirley Jackson, Sharp Objects, Cormac McCarthy, Mary Shelley, etc), you name it, I've probably read it; so I am looking to expand into a new sub-branch and would love some recommendations!

Sarah Orne Jewett seems all cozy but when you actually read her there’s some pretty freaky stuff in her stories. She was one of Eggers’ inspirations for The Lighthouse, and he doesn’t play around with New England regionalism.
You could try All the Murmuring Bones by AG Slatter.
