I am not an American but I grew up with American books and movies and TV. I sometimes think about America and I see some things that are weird. Like Fourth of July, for instance. Yes, it marked sovereignity from the French rule, but was it truly independence for the Native Americans?
On a different level, I saw this meme once about a lot of (mineral) oil being found on Saturn and there was a bald eagle with the caption: “Looks like Titan could use some freedom.”
What I’m essentially looking for is a satire book sort of like Orlando by Virginia Woolf mocks the idea of biographies. I want something that jokes about America and 'freedom'.
