I'm interested in reading stories that are like if Lord of the Rings was set in a distant Hi-Tech future, not a medieval-like past. A focus on magic, wizardry, etc. Not a romantasy (though it's fine if there is romance). I'm a bit bored with the traditional fantasy setting.

I wouldn’t call distant future fantasy “modern fantasy”. Maybe look into the Sword and Planet genre
