Apologies, I am aware this is very niche.
I am looking for a non fiction (but open to fiction) book about struggling with mental health and neurodiversity but healthcare providers giving no support.
I have read many books about women’s health being ignored by doctors so wondering if there’s something similar along those lines for mental health?
I have recently been to the doctors about mental health and for neurodiversity diagnoses, where they acknowledged I hit many of the criteria for diagnosis but said they cannot do anything to help me cope. Feeling a bit lost and find comfort in books so hoping there’s something out there for me!

I’m not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but “what my bones know” by Stephanie Foo is about her getting her CPTSD diagnosis after a while and navigating that, and navigating different kinds of therapy and treatment. The audiobook has clips from her therapy sessions in there.
Try AUTISTIC STATE OF MIND by Kayla Francis
