My favorite book is Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susana Clarke. I am a fan of classic fantasy with Narnia and LOTR, and my favorite classics are The Count of Monte Cristo, Frankenstein, and Pride & Prejudice.
If you haven’t read Piranesi, also by Susanna Clarke, I’d highly recommend it. I loved it and recommend it often to my friends that love fiction, mystery, and intrigue.

You might like Hamnet! Could read it and then see the film that’s coming out in January.

The Wheel of Time, if you haven’t read it–and if you’re willing to invest some time.

Have you read Ursula le Guin’s Earthsea cycle? If not I definitely recommend it, the first part is a banger to start the year with and the whole series is brilliant, it’s a very deep and earnest and thought provoking work of fantasy. As a fellow LOTR fan it’s one of my absolute favourites, and my also LOTR fan friend who loves Strange and Norrell too adores it as well
