I’m planning a January book marathon and I’m looking for some new reads, mostly drama and romance. I'm planning to read 10-15 books in a months so I need to choose wisely. I want to get lost in something emotional with a good mix of plot and character development.

Any must-reads you guys would recommend? I’m open to all kinds of subgenres, contemporary, historical, or even something a little more niche. What books have made you feel the most?

    1. For drama and romance that really hits emotionally and still has a strong story, I would recommend starting with The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.

It is a historical story set in World War II France about two sisters and the choices they make to survive and love in impossible circumstances. The relationships feel real, the stakes are high, and you care about these characters deeply. It is emotional without being overly melodramatic, and it stays with you long after you finish.

Another one I would add is Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman.

It is contemporary, beautifully written, and the romance is subtle but powerful because it is tied to real personal growth and connection.

    2. The Heated Rivalry / The Long Game books by Rachel Reid are kind of having a moment right now because of the show. So if you’re interested in queer hockey romance, they might be a good option.
