I read Rules of Civility by Amor Towles more than a year ago and devoured the rest of his work shortly afterward. I’ve been searching for similarly elegant prose ever since and haven’t found anything quite like it. I even picked up the Rules of Civility audiobook on Audible, and Rebecca Lowman does an excellent job capturing the voice of a fashionable Manhattanite. I still return to it from time to time.
I am looking for a similarly tasteful book that reads like money and manners and is still witty and cleverly written. Any suggestions?
