If you don't know, those are all horror/gothic fiction books. I'm a really big fan of that genre.

Dark Matter was my first Blake Crouch read. Fantastic page turner. Enjoyed it through and through. Highly recommend recursion if you want more after it!
I’m so content with what I asked for, I asked extended family for a book that stuck with them/made a big impact, not only did I want to explore titles I didn’t consider but I thought it would be fun to get their take on that question and they seemed to enjoy sharing.
My wife got me this lovely edition of The Stand [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stand) that my cat kinda already fucked up by chewing o the cover. Still good condition all things considered.
Hubby bought me 32, so I won’t list them all. 😅
Found out today he’s pre-ordered a bunch to arrive throughout 2026, so my birthday (in Jan) will last up till Xmas.
