Did anyone read the altered carbon trilogy and can give insight before I keep trying with Broken Angels… I listened through altered carbon audiobook so fast I could barely put it down. The world is so immersive, amazing cyberpunk vibes, social commentary, questions about morality what it means to be rich in a society where you can buy basically infinite existence.. and to top it off a unique detective story.
So now that I’ve finished that I’m wondering what the hell is going on in Broken Angels? I don’t know if I lost my attention span or if the book is just not my vibe but everything has shifted in a way that’s lost my interest. How did this become a military story, I listened to 2 hours of audio and kept finding myself zoning out and realizing I didn’t absorb any of what was said just words in my ears 🙈 am I randomly having an attention span issue (ADHD👋) or did anyone else struggle with this book? Also with that question.. is it worth skipping and reading the 3rd book or should I just enjoy the 1st for what it is?
