Help me finding entertaining read

hi! i have the tendency to reach for heavy or gloomy books. i really enjoyed Goldfinch, Flowers for Algernon, Book thief.

BUT, i would really like to find something that is not going to make me cry for once.

i am looking for something entertaining, where the storytelling grabs my attention. Likely i will hear it as an audiobook. I really dont know ehat exactly that could be or how to find it..
I also liked Fear and loathing.

It would be a plus if there is some romance, sex, or side plot related to that.
