    Hello,

I'm looking for Contemporary Sci-Fi // Decolonial Sci Fi // Erotic Sci Fi ? // Dark Fantasy // Horror ?

I read Tentacles, a novel by Dominican author Rita Indiana, a while back and now I want more.

Here is a short summary : "Plucked from her life on the streets of post-apocalyptic Santo Domingo, young maid Acilde Figueroa finds herself at the heart of a Santería prophecy: only she can travel back in time and save the ocean – and humanity – from disaster. But first she must become the man she always was – with the help of a sacred anemone. Tentacle is an electric novel with a big appetite and a brave vision, plunging headfirst into questions of climate change, technology, Yoruba ritual, queer politics, poverty, sex, colonialism and contemporary art. Bursting with punk energy and lyricism, it’s a restless, addictive trip: The Tempest meets the telenovela."

It would preferably be Female/ Queer oriented– but I'll take anything.

I know about Mariana Enriques and Carmen Maria Machado, and it doesn't have to be South American authors.

From Korea, I've recently read Cursed Bunny, by Bora Chung, it's a collection of short stories and it's quite good too.

Thanks in advance for your help <3

I enjoyed The Space Between Worlds, by Micaiah Johnson, a gritty dystopian future-Earth parallel-universe story.

I really liked These Burning Stars, by Bethany Jacobs, the first in a space opera trilogy about a small human empire out in the galaxy somewhere that has long forgotten about the Earth. Folks can choose their gender and it’s so committed in that regard that for the most part I had little to no idea what sex any of the characters were. Smart, funny, imaginative, with good action and politics.
