I'm adding NSFW to this because of what I'm looking for. I'm bored,, and I've read and reread all of my favourites over the last couple of months. Now I read a book called "they both die in the end" via a tiktok rec and it was great, and prior to that I was NOT an enjoyer of romance. But it might've sold me a little bit! So I'm looking for some romantasy recommendations – preferably LGBTQ+, MLM leaning, but that isn't a requirement.
Some specifications for what I don't/do want,,, since in some areas I can be quite picky.
Although the tag includes sci-fi,, I'm not a fan. Fantasy is the way to go.
There are some tropes I don't enjoy which is the main reason I never delved into romance as a genre. Any trope that introduces a third, either in the way of a third partner or even one of those "omg i'm jealous are you cheating on me </3" plots, are probably my least favourite. Personally just not into the competitive scenarios that come from that. But that's the only major one that'll 100% stop me from reading a book.
For now I'll leave it at that. I don't want to be too restrictive because that'll just ruin everyones experience, mine included. But I thank anyone that gives their input,, and I hope you all find books that're to your liking for 2026!

1) Our violent delights duology – A historical fantasy with a very angsty central romance. I enjoyed this one when I read it a few years ago.
2) Six of crows duology – this one isn’t too romance heavy, its more fantasy heavy but its still such a good book and it has MM + FM. Overall a very good book
Edit: (SPOILER ALERT) I forgot one of the 3 couples in Six of Crows has a very minor love triangle plot. It’s not heavily delved into, very momentary but it happens.
