    looking for books that aren’t strenuous to read, but have strong anti-authoritarian messaging.
    not peaceful revolution, but by brute strength and force and organization.

    in a non-fiction book i’d be looking for play-by-play of a revolution, understanding the steps leaders took to gain influence. i don’t want to read theory, i want insight on the actual effective actions taken.

    i haven’t read much fiction but i finished the hunger games series this year and loved it… i’d enjoy something like that but darker, more hopeless, gruesome.
    taboo topics preferred, i want the authoritarian in the book to be the worst of the worst. the dystopia they live in to make you question if people are even worth saving.
    prefer a strong MC with moral conviction.
    deter from romance, okay if its a side-narrative relevant to story.
    occult, horror, female-centric +++
