The last three thriller books I read have been Dead of Winter, The Housemaid, and Kill For Me, Kill For You, all of which were entertaining ish, but were extremely predictable. Sometimes it’s fun to guess the twists and turns, but I’m itching for a true five star shocker to offset these recent reads. Bonus points if no animals get hurt in the book.

Janice Hallett’s books are twisty but good.
I just read Believe by S M Govert and it was nice and twisty. No animals hurt.
“The Surgeon,” by Leslie Wolfe. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 SPOILER ALERT. AUDIBLE. Absolutely riveting. WOW, just WOW! I’ve only found the audiobook version of this author’s books on Audible, most of them are free with membership. This story grabs you from the first! I don’t know which character was more conflicted than the others. Keywords are prosecutorial set up, child a-buss, extreme jealousy, lies, cheating, absolute psychological fear! The author has written main character’s despair, angst, fear, etc so well that I felt those same emotions. This book is the poster child of psychological thriller and domestic thriller books . Highly recommend
