Book where a villain tries to get male lead to join them or be with them

Love this trope. Can be any genre but particularly fantasy, sci fi or crime

I’m looking for a book that goes in one of two ways:

Either there is a villain authority figure trying to get male lead to join their ideology.

Books where I’ve seen this trope:

– Knife of never letting go (Mayor Prentiss and Todd)

– Pure trilogy ( Partridge and his dad)

– I hunter Killers (Jazz and his dad)

– obviously Star Wars lol

OR there could be a female villainess character interested in the male hero for romantic reasons.

The only time where I’ve seen this is in the Seven Realms Series, Wheel of Time and the The Furyck Saga
