I'm looking for something with the grand scale of Homeworld, it's a very emotional game, but without the personal drama or with characters bickering. It's about the journey into the unknown, and advanced civilisations across vast spaces of time.
I'm looking for a journal more than (space) battles and physical conflicts.
I was thinking about on of the following:
The Expanse.
Three body problem.
Revelation Space.
Commonwealth saga.
Culture series.
Zones of thought.
Fireball.
Murder bot diaries.
Maybe there are many more; let me know. … but where to begin?! It's a jungle of choices.
(I've read the Dune hexalogy and Foundation trilogy. Warhammer is too singly focused on war to be truly interesting to me.)
