Ive always loved reading really depressing books, since I'm a rather happy-go-lucky person, so most of the ones I read don't make me feel very sad. So that's where I employ all of you great people, to find me a book that will make me rethink why I created this post. Please and thank you 🙂

The road
I always have the same one answer for this question – *No Longer Human* Osamu Dazai. A rare book I DNF, as the first half put me in a very dark place. Joke would be on me if the second half was actually sunshine and rainbows.
Edit: Read up about the biography of Dazai, if you want to inflict further psychic pain on yourself.

A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. Super sad, depressing, upsetting, yet excellent. I still don’t know why I think it’s excellent, since it was so sad. But I do think it is worth it.
