So, I can't read modern romance, it's just way too cringe for me, but I've recently been reading a lot of Brontë (all the sisters) books, Dickens, Austen. I love the old fashioned romance, which I just noticed because I was reading Agnes Grey and find it super boring because there IS no romance (at least as far as I've gotten, which is too far, lol).
So … lesser known novels of that era with romance? I've read all the standard fare – Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Count of Monte Cristo, Les Mis, Bleak House, Great Expectations, more I can't think of.
Would love any suggestions. MUST be an old book, though, I really can't with modern romance.
