To be more specific, a book that explores elements of psychological horror without the intent to scare the audience. Books that essentially just read like vents about existential dread, a lack in affect, empathy or emotion, feeling alienated from the rest of society due to various reasons, but especially ethical/moral ones, but that comfort the audience through its raw relatability. A book that reads like the author experienced it all first hand and just writes it down in the hopes someone else finds comfort in it.
Bonus points if it involves eroguro and various explorations of eroticism in a horror setting without actual spice.
