Bonus points if they're the protagonist.
It's just that it's so common to see the charming trickster or cold intellectual be forcibly pushed into the plot by a nicer, and often significantly dumber character. It's a trope for a reason, but just for once I want to see a character known just as much for their mind as for their heart.
Someone who might not be able to think up a solution that saves everyone, but is sure as hell going to try.
