This year I really put an emphasis on reading and managed to read 6 books this year (which is a lot for me!)
I read:
- The Iliad (Lattimore) 564 pages (with notes)
- The Odyssey (Fagles) 514 pages (with notes)
- Herodotus (Landmark edition) 878 pages (with notes and appendices)
- Thucydides (Hammond/Oxford Edition) 685 pages (with notes)
- Sophocles (Fagles) 407 pages (with essays and notes)
- Hesiod (Lombardo) 103 pages (with notes)
totalling 3,151 total pages!
Next year I plan on continuing the Greek thread with some Aeschylus and Euripides in the queue, before trying to tackle the Pre-Socratics, and finally Plato.
How did you guys do with your reading goals this year?

I read the entire Bible. Using the Bible Recap app.
10 novels with 60% of those being read in the summer.
I just put the cap on book #70 last night so that’s probably where I’ll end for the year. 34 nonfiction which I usually listen to on audiobook now, the rest all fiction, many thanks to my library ebooks. Only 3 re-reads this year, which is unusual for me (I’m a big re-reader), but otherwise it’s about where I’m at for a typical year. My reading goal is always to have fun reading whatever I feel like, and once again I killed it.
