I read a lot for work and miss reading novels for pleasure.
I read the Harry Potter series many, many years ago.
Life’s been quite challenging for years now and I can’t focus, mainly ongoing post separation domestic violence and repeated pregnancy losses (in new healthy relationship).
I would like to avoid horror and overly violent depictions, pregnancies, miscarriages, domestic violence.
I really appreciate any suggestions.

House in the Cerulean Sea. Quite sweet.
Do you have a genre in mind?
The Plains, by Gerald Murnane, is about a filmmaker seeking to make a documentary about life in the Australian interior.
Do you like fantasy or science fiction?
I recommend the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan or Nevermoor series by Jessica Townsend. These are the two series that resonate for me with a similar quality and feel to them as Harry Potter – and highly readable, draw you into the world in an easy way.
Read the Jeeves books, by P.G. Wodehouse. Or anything by Dave Berry.
Anything by James Herriot.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
Project Hail Mary
Lonesome Dove (Lee Horsley version)
The Mr Mercedes trilogy and the Outsider ( some horror, but not too bad. Great story)
The Poisonwood Bible or Demon Copperhead.
All these books I highly recommend on audiobooks.
