    1. I’m about halfway through Endurance by Alfred Lansing. So my first read will be finishing it.

    2. Carrying over from what I started in 2025 I’m reading Brideshead Revisted for the first time. It’s great!

    3. The first book I’ve started is Middlemarch. The first book I finish will likely be either By the Sea, by Abdulrazak Gurnah, or The Soil, by Takashi Nagatsuka.

    4. Under the dome by Stephen king, really enjoying it so far about 150 pages in. Only thing of his I’ve read other than the dark tower series and got 3 books for Christmas so might go on a binge after this

    5. First read is finishing The Dead Zone, but then I think I am going to read Slaughterhouse Five next.

I’ve downloaded The Blighted Stars by Megan O’Keefe we shall see if it actually becomes my first read or not as sometimes I really struggle to pick a book.

    7. Going to finish 11/22/63. It’s been on my kindle sitting about the 20% mark and I need to get it done before moving on to anything else.

    8. I started ‘into the river I drown’ by TJ Klune yesterday. So I consider that my first read of 2026.

I’m almost done Fool Moon by Jim Butcher.

But I got a B&N gift card for Christmas and am a sucker for their collectible classics, so got “The Alchemist and other stories” and started 11 Minutes from that too.

    10. “Fall, or Dodge in Hell” by Neal Stephenson. First impression: I’ll probably enjoy this one. And it shook loose a forgotten memory of the Three Fates from “Insomnia” by Stephen King, so I might re-read that one next.

    12. Reading both simultaneously:

      • The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

      • The Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell & Bill Moyers
