In the past year, I’ve read a lot of mystery books, but most of them are the typical mainstream BookTok type. Now I want to get into some not-so-hyped books from some other authors but in the same genre. I like a good murder mystery and horror if it’s done right. Some 5-star reads for me were all the Holly Jackson books (except Rachel Price) and the One of Us Is Lying series. I also liked The Silent Patient, but the build-up was a bit too slow for me. For horror, I liked The Left Right Game and The Rain Dancers. I love a good plot twist and a romance subplot. All suggestions and advice welcome 🙂
