I am looking for thriller books that explore themes of erotic and psychosexual mind games, obsession, infidelity, etc. Imagine something like a character being married to someone or hooking up with someone to realise that they never truly knew them and there is more than meets the eye. I guess you could also classify this as "Noir". Think also, femme fatales (or whatever the male equivalent is, doesn't just have to be women).
Below I'll list some of the films that I've watched that I think would kind of fit this criteria for what I'd like to see in the book:
Fatal Attraction (1987)
Basic Instinct (1992)
Body Heat (1981)
Dream Lover (1993)
Malice (1993) – I especially enjoyed this one.
Pretty self explanatory with me wanting thrillers but I'm really looking for a book with great twists all the way throughout.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
