I finished the 'One of us is lying' series a while ago and haven't read anything since. I'd love to read a similar teen mystery series, maybe with a really smart protagonist like in Death Note. Preferably one that I wouldn't get made fun of for reading in school

Any of Holly Jackson’s YA books and/or Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ YA series are a good bet, I’d say the protagonist’s are all pretty smart(maybe not death-note-crazy-mind-games smart though), and I don’t really know what you would or wouldn’t get made fun of for, but I hope these ones won’t do that.
Also if you want to continue the habit of reading I’d recommend having a somewhat constant stream of books that you want to read in order to not just pick up a book, finish it, and then stop reading for a while (it at least really helped me start to read consistently)
