I’ve just booked a holiday to Tokyo and I am beyond excited! Last year I read quite a lot of Japanese (translated to English) books and I really enjoyed them all. I’d love to read some more books set in Tokyo/even just Japan in general to get me in the mood for my trip.
Some that I’ve liked have included Butter, the Strange pictures/houses books, The Goodbye Cat and I just finished one called Heaven by Meiko Kawakami. I have a pretty broad interest in terms of genre, I like horror or any kind of ‘dark’ stories and stories that are more character driven/emotional. I did also read ‘people that eat darkness’ a couple of years ago and I enjoyed that but mostly interested in fiction generally. Thanks in advance for your help!
