I've read this one last year and have read many books since, but I can't stop thinking about the themes in Merton's reflections and revelations in this specific book.
Specifically I am looking for something that conveys the sense of longing Merton describes throughout this book, perhaps topped off with the person finding "it", whatever "it" is.
I'm not looking for something to find or build faith, but I am open to more writing that is faith adjacent if it's as universal in the human experience as Merton's writing is. So what to read next?
