I like fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction (non-WWII), and literary fiction. Not really into contemporary fiction that is aimed at women unless it’s really well-written, and I don’t tend to read mysteries or horror or thrillers (I like my violence unrealistic, thank you very much). I go through phases where I am an incredibly avid reader but I feel very stuck right now. I started There There by Tommy Orange before Christmas and don’t feel like continuing it right now. Same with Belleweather by Susanna Kearsley. I need something that’s going to grab me and get me back into reading. I’m not sure what I’m in the mood for, and my focus isn’t great right now.
