Hello everyone! I have a special request about a book suggestion to read. I would like to find out about life in Japan, especially life in the countryside and in the quieter small towns, where they explain how they live, but i’m not a reader and I don’t know any Japanese authors. Can you give me any pointers? Thank you very much in advance.

The travel writer Pico Iyer has several books about living in Japan. They may be a bit more meditative than you’re looking for, but I’ve enjoyed them.
