Visiting the UK for the first time in April/May, and preparing for the full pre-trip literary immersion! While I have my favorite genres, I don’t want to be too specific, in case others are seeking similar recs. I will be going to London, York, Edinburgh, northern and Eastern Wales, the West Midlands, and the areas around Bath and the Cotswolds — so, covering a lot of ground. Again, what I am looking for are books (in my case, audiobooks, because of vision issues) where the setting is paramount — like, this book would feel wrong if it were set anywhere else.
