Can be a good character, paladin like and will apply the law no matter what, be they noble, commoner, the fire burn everyone equally or inquisitor or a bad guys. What is important is that they follow their own code, bonus if arrogant a***holes get owned. 🙂 Better if they are series.

    No harem either!

Mc should follow their own code no matter what, even if it means the world would go against them, they would go down fighting.

I do not mind if it is lit rpg or not…

    I've read some like that

    • Druss the Legend from David Gemmel is a good one.
    • Azarinth Healer is a bit like that but i am looking for a more inflexible mc
    • The Calamitous Bob loved this serie but not looking for empire building
    • Victor of Tucson Book 3 was close to it as well
    • Liches Get Stitches 5 was close but too oriented toward humor
    • Terminate the Other World! Book 2 got close
    • the books of Eric Ugland good guys and bad guys are neat as well
    • Everything (Full Murderhobo Book 3) by Dakota Krout would have loved to see the murderhobo continue to develop
    • The Ten Realms by Michael Chatfield
    • The Honey Badger Chronicles Shelly Laurenston kinda fit as the mc do not give a shit to things other than family
    • Warlock of the Magus World was pretty great but the ending felt a bit rushed
    • The Kurtherian gambit Michael Anderle kind of fit
    • Death head serie by david gunn is great but unfortunately, none released after the 3rd, they were among my all time favorites
    • Some of the warhammer 40k really fit well into that like the ones from Dan abnett
    • dead tired is a bit like that but too tongue in cheek and mc is too easy going

    I've dropped the followings

    • He who fight with monsters at book 7
    • King's dark tidings i dropped after the 3rd book,
    • Vigil's Wrath: A LitRPG Adventure (Vigil Bound Book 4)
    • Primal hunter followed that trope for a while but i could not get past the book at the arena
    • Ironheart Crucible (Will of the Immortals Book 3) due to harem trope
    • Assassination Protocol: A Military Space Opera Thriller (CERBERUS Book 1) Andy Peloquin
    • Defiance of the Fall 5: A LitRPG Adventure

Watchmen (comic) and Death Note (manga) fit your criteria.

Though in them the characters following their moral compass (Rorschach and detective L respectively) are in a debate whether doing so is truly the best course of action.
