my college syllabuses came out today and for my us history class we’re supposed to pick ~ 5 books to read and use as sources for various assignments.
the assignment topics are super broad and designed so that you can tailor them to your interests so almost anything goes i think! i’ll take any recommendations 🙂
as for things i like: i’m a paralegal studies major hoping to work in public defense or legal aid so things on law would be cool (though i did just finish a killer constitutional law class, so maybe not ones exclusively on the supreme court lol), of the non fiction books i’ve read i really like memoirs, my favorites are into the wild and in the dream house and im pretty squeamish so while obviously there are a lot of major wars during this time just knowing myself i think i will shy away from those kinds of stories. oh and shorter books are preferred.
