I feel like most are just cutesy or just scenes where the FMC’s inner voice is self-deprecating and that she isn’t like other girls. Most of the time the “com” is the FMC being clumsy and embarrassing herself.
So I was wondering if there are books where the comedy is hilarious. I know humor is subjective, but just in case some of you know a book that literally made you “laugh” laugh, please suggest them to me.

Not officially “romcoms” but The Spellman Files and Stephanie Plum series are this to me (they are mysteries, but have a side of romance throughout)

Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld! Main character is a comedy writer (and I believe the author has been as well). Funny and well written, and has a cute love story too.
