Basically title, i’m about 1/5 through and I’m finding it pretty boring. Nothing engaging seems to be happening and the characters are not interesting (or maybe are not developed enough yet?). Not sure if I should drop it.
I had a similar dilemma with 100 years of solitude, but I ended up sticking with it and Im so glad that I did, it’s now one of my favourites.
Does On The Road get better from here? Is it like 100YOS where the tedium is sort of used as a literary device?
