therapist told me to read smut

Hi! Mention of sex and smut below

My therapist gave me hwk to read smut because I am unlearning the same surrounding sex and purity culture! I LOVE romance and am no stranger to spice, but I think what I really want is something actually smutty and not just romance with a sprinkle of spice. Think those books with ugly covers of shirtless men! LOL

I am not looking for dark stuff, like stalking or anything taboo. i don’t think i’m ready!!! HOWEVER…. i am kind of curious about books that explore praise kinks without humiliation or degradation.

tbh, I’m just seeing what’s out there that maybe other romance readers enjoy(ed). I don’t care if it’s straight or queer either. 🙂
