Hard science fiction recs

I would appreciate some good hard science fiction (preferably standalone) books, as I have just recently figured out there’s a genre of what I liked to call „heavy on the sci, lighter on the fi“.

I just think I like science fiction that at least in the broadest sense makes sense scientifically (lol.) Perhaps also leaning dystopian science fiction…but I’m open to all suggestions. Thanks!
