Personally I loved it but there are loads of people on here and r slash books who haaaate it. They see it as patronizing and surface level philosophy that masquerades as being deep and meaningful. And that there is supposed to be some huge message but it boils down to a cliche ending.
I see it as a reminder that there is always more to do and see and that you should take risks in life. You can always go back to being a shepherd, you won’t always be able to go on an adventure across the continent searching for treasure. I like the reminder to do things while you can and don’t think it needs to be much deeper than that.

It’s not particularly popular on this sub. However, really enjoyed it personally. It inspired me to read more by Coelho, but none ofthem worked for me in any way whatsoever.

I found it to be alright. Kinda boring to me tbh. Don’t regret reading it, I’m glad I did. I was just expecting more from the book. Rated it 3 stars.
