I used to be an avid reader and I stopped about 5 years ago because I just had no energy after working and dealing with life stuff lol. I’m trying to get back into reading but having a hard time finding books that I will enjoy. I am a lesbian so all of these popular romance books with straight couples just don’t do anything for me. One thing about me is I love a book with drama, romance, twists and turns, and it typically has to bring me to tears at a point to make it worth while. I love a book that will move me. Any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance for the help!

Casey McQuiston might be for you! The Pairing and One Last Stop come to mind right off the bat for me. I also just finished The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller and it ticks some of those boxes too!

Everything you described points to “The Safekeep” by Yael van der Wouden. It was one of the best books I read last year, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
You might enjoy Atmosphere and The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo, both by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
