My friend recently recommended me to read "madonna in a fur coat" by Sabahattin Ali. It was so amazingly written I couldn't put it down and it made me sort of excited about reading again after I had a bit of a reading slump last year. I'm wondering if anyone could recommend me another book(s) with similar vibes (but not contemporary YA romance pls)? Or not necessarily similar vibes but this genre? I've read "drive your plow over the bones of the dead" by Tokarczuk before Sabahattin and while I recognize why so many people loved it, it wasn't such a great fit for me genre-wised..
