I’m looking for a book with a strong, interest-grabbing plot that has a romantic love story intertwined that isn’t the main message or focus of the story similar to The Hunger Games. I love the sociopolitical messages and metaphors in The Hunger Games, and I love that the main love interests build their relationship alongside the buildup of the main plot, but it isn’t corny or the purpose of the story. What are some other good books that contain this theme? I really enjoy a good love story that shows characters truly loving one another and finding a safe space amidst disaster.
