I’m trying to branch out and read books from genres I tend to avoid. Based on my taste in books, tv shows and movies, fantasy always seemed like something I would not enjoy. I’ve gotten increasingly more curious about it lately, especially with the amount of highly rated fantasy books I’ve seen this past year. My favourite genre is typically historical fiction, which is why I never saw my self enjoying fantasy books. I get way more invested in the plot and lives of the characters when it all seems like something that could actually happen in real life. I also do not enjoy smut at all, which has put me off on the genre based on several reviews of popular series. Any suggestions for a book that will be a good introduction to the genre for me?
