I know the individual Folger Shakespeare editions include scene-by-scene summaries, which is really useful for first-time readers.
Does the Three Tragedies of Shakespeare volume include the same kind of summaries for each play, or is that feature only in the standalone editions?

Yeah the Three Tragedies edition keeps all the same helpful stuff as the individual volumes – scene summaries, notes, the works. I used it for my Shakespeare class and it was clutch for keeping track of what was happening in King Lear especially
