I'm 23 and feeling really behind in my knowledge and basic know how. I have a partner who is a few years older than me and I find it really hard to properly contribute to conversations they have with me or their friends. I want to educate myself more to be able to form my own opinions from facts and not just the propaganda you see on the news & social media everyday. Any recommendations are so appreciated <3

Bill Bryson ‘the body’ & ‘a short history of nearly everything’
“A Short History of Almost Everything” by Bill Bryson, it’s not as such a history book, but it tells about the most important scientific discoveries in an way that is understandable. It tells about the people who made these discoveries and the scientific process.
