For context, I've been trying to get into reading more this year because it's not something I normally do.

Before last month, the only books I ever really read were the Percy Jackson series. But in December, I read Cinder by Marissa Meyer and it was actually really good and made me want to start reading again, hence me coming to this subreddit.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

After you finish the Lunar Chronicles, there are two other books that go with the series:

      – Stars Above, a novella collection
      – Fairest, a prequel about Levana

Marissa Meyer also wrote Heartless, which is about the Queen of Hearts, and the Renegades trilogy, which is a sort of superhero romance story. From my reading these are also pretty good!

    2. *Six of Crows* by Leigh Bardugo, if we are going by fast pace and excitement

*Girl, Goddess, Queen* by Bea Fitzgerald, if we are going by mythology themes and humour

*Frostheart* by Jamie Littler, if we are going by a boy with unusual powers on a quest, lots of action and good sense of humour

*His Dark Materials* by Philip Pullman, if you just want a truly great young adult series

Also, at the risk of being obvious, have you read Rick Riordan’s other series? *Magnus Chase* is fun!

And do you know *Rick Riordan Presents*? They are books with the same basic idea as Percy Jackson – kids in a world in which mythological creatures are real – but with different mythologies around the world, always written by an author with the respective cultural background.

I just finished reading Katabasis by RF Kuang. It involves a post grad student who needs to travel to the underworld. In speaking to a colleague of mine, both Percy Jackson and this book involved tartarology, the study of the underworld. Could be a good one!
