It is considered an Australian classic and was made into an acclaimed television mini series. It was first published in 1951.

Ken Follett has written several really enjoyable books on WWII.
A Woman of no importance by Sonia Purnell, is a non-fiction story about a female operative charged with building a resistance. The writing is ok, but the story is mind blowing!

Life after Life and A God in Ruins by Kate Atkinson. The former is my favourite book of all time, all about how small decisions can change our whole life course. It is only partly set during WWII, but the war plays a crucial part.

I just finished Strangers in Time by David Baldacci, a good read as you would expect from the author set in wartime London. Its structure was different from most Blitz novels and the characters were very well developed.
