hello lovely people, I have been reading house of leaves for the past while, I've gotten a little more than half way and I have been enjoying every moment of it very much, it's one of those books that you either love or hate and I am loving it.
and I was wondering what book I should read next?
my current book hit list is:
S. – JJ Abrams and Doug dorst
Absalom, Absalom – Faulkner
Gravity Rainbow – Thomas Pynchon
familiar – Mark Z. Danielewski
If on a Winter's Night a Traveler – italo Calvino
pale fire – Vladimir Nabokov
I've been getting really interested in Ergodic literature And those were the books that most interested me with S. being the one I think looks the coolest and most interesting but if anyone has any other books that arent necessarily Ergodic but still have the same vibe as HoL or the like, I'd love to hear about them
I've also very much enjoyed "Fluids" by May Leitz so any horror/extreme horror books are also nicely seen
I hope you'll have a wonderful day.

Dude you’ve got some heavy hitters on that list, S. is absolutely wild – the whole dual narrative thing with all the margin notes and inserts is incredible but also kind of exhausting in the best way
If you’re digging the HoL vibe maybe check out The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall, it’s got that same reality-bending weirdness but way more digestible than Pynchon
