I work as a teacher in a tiny village, where their only option is being a farmer. Ideally, I would like the book to motivate them to study to leave this place. Some students will be fine working as farmers, but others have different aspirations but they don't see a way out.
I thought about "October Sky" and "The boy who harnessed the wind". But they have movies based on the books, so many of them will just watch the movie.
