Im looking specifically for books related to and/or recording the history of removal of black/brown communities in places like Central Park, NY or Lake Lanier, GA. Other locations are welcome but I am hoping to find something specifically on Central Park. New to the community and would appreciate some help thank you all!

Check out “The Power Broker” by Robert Caro – it’s mostly about Robert Moses but covers a ton of his urban renewal projects that displaced communities throughout NYC including areas that became Central Park. Also “Seneca Village” by Cynthia Copeland is specifically about the Black community that was destroyed to build the park
